I had some fun with the photo ref for this painting. I painted my own foot green and mocked up a quick copy of the daily bugle for reference. It was unbelievably cold standing barefoot in our driveway taking photos. My two-year-old daughter treasures one of the photos as she thought Shrek had been to the house!

The image of Professor Xavier on the Daily Bugle front page was originally going to be Namor until the editors pointed out that he doesn't feature in the series. A real shame - that was a cool face! So far (I'm working on issue 3 right now) there's a lot of 'grey' on the covers. Then again, it is war!
