Another idea that made it as a portfolio painting. The original idea was to show Spidey/Peter completely exhausted after a battle with a super-foe. I wasn't totally happy with my first take on this idea (below) and eventually settled on a side-view close-up of a battered Peter after a few rounds with the Lizard.
