The original concept for this can be seen in the (right-hand) thumbnail below. The editor throught it was too reminiscent of the cover to issue #3 (major character kneeling with female stood straight). In the end the close-up of Black Bolt's anguished, screaming face was decided upon.

Despite being a simple close-up, I'm happy with the finished product. The fusion of Black Bolt's costume and the blue-purple night-sky works well.

The cover to issue #5 gives me more scope and more characters to play with, so stay tuned as this will be posted as soon as I get the green-light from Marvel!
