Originally the background for this picture was pink. I know, kinda strange choice of colour. I just wanted it to stand out, really. Of course it didn't get approved, too romantic for a book about war!

It wasn't too much hassle changing it to grey, I only destroyed two brushes in frustration! Still, I like the way it looks in grey too, so it was no big deal in the long run. Initially, I wanted to use abstract shapes but ultimately decided it needed to be more 'fluid' to emphasise Crystal's powers, making it look a little more like wind.

I'm hoping this one gets a green logo. Pietro works pretty well, I got a lot of the feeling I wanted in the body language too. Click on the images below to see the original 'pink' version and the concept pencils.
