Had a great time at Bristol and it was really good to meet up with everyone. Can't quite believe it was two months ago!
Despite the ticket system for sketches (all of which were snapped up early) I still ended up sketching into the late hours of Sunday! Still, it did provide some breathing space to relax and enjoy the Saturday evening.
The sketchbook seemed well-received and plans still exist to produce a second volumes other commitments allow. There are still a few of this limited edition print run so if you are interested in obtaining a copy, please get in touch via the Contact page.
Hoping to attend Thought Bubble in Leeds in November and will publish details here as are firmed-up.

Many thanks to Fons and Mark for inviting me. Had a great weekend sketching and signing for fans. Always good to see Barry Kitson again and was fun hanging out with Adi Granov and Tamsin, Paul Renaud and Minck Oosterveer (who I really must thank for driving us everywhere and getting me to the airport on time!).

4 issues published by Dynamite Entertainment. Trade should be out now. After this I no longer do licensed work unless it pays very well. Also, I thought that a lot of linework artists moaned about colourists too much... now I know they don't complain enough! Anyway, I'll be putting up some of the art on this site so you can see what it looks like without the digital nonsense.
A very late posting - I did a 10 page strip for the Tripe-A baseball comic last summer. I've literally only just obtained a copy of this myself, so perhaps not so late after all!
Went to the Leeds con as a last minute thing. Enjoyable day, got some sketching done and got to meet John Romita Jr too. Really nice, down to earth guy...and a great storyteller too.
I'll be at Bristol sketching all day Saturday and Sunday at my own table. I'll be using a ticket system so it'll be a case of grabbing one early. In the past I've ended up taking on too many sketches and not having the time to do a decent job on many. I gave this system a trial run at Leeds and the sketches benefited as a result. I also hope to get a con sketchbook sorted out with some nice pin-ups and rare work in it. I'll post more details when I find out where my table is, whether I've managed to get the sketchbook sorted and other details ASAP.
Hope to be doing some covers again soon but not paintings. I'm working on doing some tonal art with a little ink and hopefully digital colouring (I'm figuring it out at the moment).

'Cheers' to everyone who came along to the Bristol Comic EXPO last weekend. I had a great time meeting people, chatting about comics in general, getting some more practice at sketching and meeting a host of other comic art talents.
In particular - I'd like to say a big thankyou to Barry Kitson for all his encouragement, and for sharing a table with me for two days.
It was also great to finally meet David Hine in the flesh after working with him on "Son Of M" and "Silent War" by-proxy - I just wish we'd had more time to talk comics...
Finally - a huge thankyou to Doug Braithwaite for giving me some of his time and letting me see his absolutely fabulous, recent 'wash' work. Truly beautiful art from a master of the craft - and further inspiration for myself.

Major site overhaul this month. Several performance issues have been resolved and hopefully navigation should prove easier.
I'm also working on various covers to the JSA novels published by I-Books, the first of which is scheduled for release in February 2006.
Finally - I've been asked to do a wrap-around painted cover for the MARVEL SUPERHERO ENCYCLOPEDIA, out some time next year.
