The first version of this cover, which included Wonder Woman, was initially approved by one editor. So job done, the painting was sent off to DC Comics for reproduction - then another editor returned from vacation and wanted her removing.

The advice was that she looked a little out of place and positioning left no space for the barcode to be added. This was a frustrating example of how things can work in the industry - but fair enough, WW was removed and the finished image is seen here.

This pic is loosely based on a JSA pic that I did for Comics International a few years ago but with significant editorial changes.
