I spent a while copying the colours from Rockwell's 'Rosie the Riveter' pic, which was an interesting exercise. With this image I wanted to place a contemporary pose for Cap in a 1940's style composition, rendering both into a classic, yet contemporary painting.

When I first did this pic, a friend told me that Cap's head was bullet-shaped. It was, and after a few alterations it still is to a certain extent. I posed for it, so at the end of the day I guess it just shows that I've got a bullet-shaped head.
