I'm still not happy with the old dude in this one in there - he looks a little 'flat'. I wanted to try and render these covers quickly, without fretting over every aspect, which is sometimes a fault of mine.

I think the style makes it's obvious that I've been studying Neal Adams, mainly because his late 60's/early 70's work was the best - but also because, along with Kirby, he managed to get so much energy and movement into his work.

In the past my own linework has relied too much on photo-reference and the results were often quite static. More and more comic art is getting that way, which isn't where I want to go - so I try not use this anymore.
